Thomas Eaves is an associate lawyer at Cohen Buchan Edwards. He has extensive experience in the fields of commercial litigation, foreclosure law, real estate disputes, and contractual interpretation. Thomas also deals with family disputes. He has successfully appeared before the British Columbia Supreme Court, the British Columbia Court of Appeal, and the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench. Thomas’ clients have included national banks, S&P TSX 60 listed corporations, professionals and small and medium businesses.
Thomas seeks out cost-effective, practical solutions to legal disputes. He is dedicated to working to help his clients efficiently work through their matters. He is a tireless advocate and a principled negotiator.
Thomas received a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations in 2006 from the UBC and a Juris Doctor in 2010 from Queen’s University. While in university, Thomas participated in a one-year exchange to the National University of Singapore. He studied economics, history and geography and attended the Queen’s International Student Centre in the United Kingdom for studies in international business law. He has also spent time volunteering for a legal education Non-Governmental Organization in Laos and Thailand, working closely with the UN Office on Drugs and Crime and the Laos Bar Association.
Thomas is a regular volunteer for various immigrant education non-profit organizations and served as a director for the Calgary Immigrant Educational Society.
